Unlike the Keys further south that are surrounded by water, the homes in Sabal Key surround the water in the form of a lake in the middle of the community. This is a relatively new community of single-family homes located off Pioneer Trail close to I-4 and SR-44. Living out here gives you the peace and quiet of living in the country while still being close enough to the central part of town to make use of the many amenities it has to offer.
From restaurants to grocery stores and pet supplies, all are only a ten to fifteen-minute drive away. There are plenty of places such as parks and nature preserves for you and your dog to go hiking in and there is always the beach which is only a fifteen-minute drive to the east on SR-44 which becomes East 3rd Avenue on the beachside and will take you all the way out onto the sand.
What is the terrain like in Sabal Key?
The area out here is freshly developed and still bears some of the scars of construction. But like most residential communities this far out from town, you can expect some traffic during the morning and evening rush hours as people head off to work or arrive home after a long day.
