Sun Beach Club Condominiums sit on the west side of A1A only a short drive from E 3rd Avenue where there is supermarket. Here, you can buy food for yourself as well as for your dog. If you are a person who likes to eat out, there are a few restaurants within walking distance, but you will find a much better selection further to the north on historic Flagler Avenue. Here, you will also find a selection of eclectic stores and boutiques.
Your neighbors include a Dollar General Market and strip mall along with several other condos. The beach is across A1A from your condo, but you can make the trip in less than five minutes on foot. To the west is a vast area of waterways you can go boating in with your dog. Being out on the water is a good way to cool down on those hot summer days!
As you might expect with a major thoroughfare, the traffic on A1A can be very hectic at times. The busiest times are rush hours as those who work on the peninsula and the mainland head off to work. However, even the rest of the day stays very busy. There are frequently of a lot of people walking up and down A1A as well. If you must walk your dog in this area, be sure you keep them on a short leash to maintain adequate control.
One thing you won't like about walking up and down this road is that there aren't any trees to shade you and your dog from the relentless sun. Behind the condos is a residential neighborhood that is usually much quieter than A1A. This area is heavily shaded, offering you protection from the sun and a quieter place to walk with your four-legged friend.
Walking your pooch on the sidewalks is not always the best choice, especially on hot summer days. Plus, it gets boring very quickly! Since you are right across from the beach, it only makes sense that you make good use of it. The sandy dunes offer two completely different types of terrain for you and your pup to walk on. The first is the dry sand that sucks your feet down with every step you take. It will do the same thing to your dog's paws, making for a very good workout. The second is the sand that is kept wet by the constant lapping of the ocean's waves. This sand is very easy to walk on and is a great place to kick off your shoes so that you can cool your feet off at the end of your walk. Your dog is sure to appreciate the chance to swim in the ocean as well.
