Top dog walkers in The Oaks Condo
Wag! Walkers know The Oaks Condo
The Oaks Condominium complex sits on Flagler Avenue, close to the end of the N Causeway Bridge to the west and the beach to the east. There are several excellent restaurants along Flagler Avenue for you to sample and plenty more a few blocks to the south on E 3rd Ave. Along this road, you will also find a Publix Grocery store, numerous banks, and many other stores. However, if you are looking for a pet supply store, you must head back over the bridge to the mainland part of town. The same applies to finding a dog park to suit your needs.
If you are into hot summers, you won't be disappointed with temperatures in this area from June through September averaging in the high 90s. On the other hand, if you are looking for somewhere to get away from cold, how do January temperatures in the 60s to 70s sound?
What is the terrain like in The Oaks Condo?
The terrain around the Oaks Condo is a blend of commercial and residential. The ground is flat and relatively unexciting. To make matters worse, there are very few sidewalks running through the area for you and your pooch to stroll on. This leaves you with little choice but to take walks on the streets themselves. Providing you exercise due caution with regard to the traffic flowing around you, this should not present much of a problem. Luckily, this area also has a few nice grassy spots along the curbs if you're in need of a pit stop or a reprieve from the hot pavement in the warmer months.
There are a few businesses surrounding this complex, so you'll need to keep an eye out for cars entering and exiting the parking lots. During the slower hours, however, these parking lots may make for nice places to get out for a quick walk.
How many greenways are there in The Oaks Condo?
There are a couple of small parks that are mostly woodlands and offer you a chance to hike around in the shade. Grace K Barch Park to the north and Callalisa Park to the south offer just enough room for you to let your pup stretch their legs.
A much better choice for space to hike and play on is the beach. With both dry and wet sand, the beach offers you what may be the perfect place to get in your daily exercise, build leg muscles, and improve stamina.
Finally, if you drive north on S Atlantic Ave, your drive will take you to Smyrna Dunes Park where you and your pooch can wander along the nature trails and boardwalks or hang out together on the beach before going for a swim. This is an on-leash park, so be sure you keep Fido on a leash and clean up any messes they leave!
