The Tide Condo sits right on the beach along South Atlantic Avenue and close to the southern end of town. Beyond the condos that line the beach here, the rest of the area is mostly residential with numerous single-family homes on the other side of the road where you and your dog can go for walks if, for some reason, you prefer not to use the beach.
The only real problem is that by being this far south, there isn't anything in the way of amenities nearby beyond a single restaurant. However, the drive to East 3rd Avenue where you will find several restaurants, small shops, and a Publix grocery store where you can buy both pet food and people food is very short. A little further to the north is historic Flagler Avenue, a quaint street filled with eclectic shops, restaurants, and great bars to choose from.
What is the terrain like in Tide Condo?
Despite being this far south along South Atlantic Avenue, you can expect the traffic on this road to remain busy all day long and into the night. At the same time, the traffic will be even more hectic during morning and evening rush hours as people hustle to and from work. During peak tourist seasons, both the road and the sidewalks tend to be busy. If you must take your pup for a walk along this stretch of road or cross it, be sure to use a short leash.
The land around here is mostly flat and almost completely made of sand. The only soil has been brought in to create yards. While this might not make for much in the way of an exciting walk for either of you, there is a beach in your front yard that makes a much better place to go for your daily walks and it's a little safer!
