The Tuscany Square Condominiums are west of town out on the Venetian Bay Golf Course. Living out here takes you well outside of town where you, your family, and Fido can enjoy a little peace and quiet. Beyond the country club, if you want somewhere to dine out, it's only a ten to fifteen-minute drive back into town where you will find a large selection of fast-food and sit-down restaurants for you to choose from. Alternatively, you can drive north to Port Orange where there are many more.
Have you ever wanted to spend Christmas on the beach? If you live here, you might be surprised to find temperatures in the upper 60s or lower 70s on the 25th of December. It's a great time for that Christmas selfie on the beach! Then during the summer, you can work on your tan while enjoying walks on the sand in 90-degree weather.
The terrain here is a blend of residential and heavily wooded areas. While the ground is quite flat, there are plenty of neighborhood blocks for the two of you to work into your walks. The communities out here have all been carefully planned to ensure maximum usage, meaning the houses are packed close together in tight little neighborhoods. Thankfully, the various communities have sidewalks for you o take your walks on.
You can stick to your own community or you can stroll from one neighborhood to another as the two of you find that you need longer walks to get in your exercise. You can also make use of some of the larger grassy fields in the area to allow your pooch a little more room to run. Just be sure to avoid any areas that may be prone to flooding during the rainier parts of the year.
There are several large areas of woods around the condo, but most of them are on private property, meaning you and your pooch should stay out. However, to the west is the South Tomoka Wildlife Management Area. Here, you and the rest of your family can enjoy hiking the many miles of trails wandering through the WMA.
Like most Wildlife Management Areas in Central Florida, you never know how many different species of birds you might find roosting and nesting here! Each time the two of you come here for a walk, you might see a completely different selection of birds as they sit on their eggs and raise their young. Be sure you bring your mosquito repellent for the muggy summers! You should also bring lots of water as you won't find much in the way of potable water in the WMA and you will definitely need it out here!
