Top dog walkers in Waterway West Condo
Wag! Walkers know Waterway West Condo
The Waterway West Condo sits on the North Causeway Island in the middle of Indian River North. From your home, it is a two-minute drive to the Marine Discovery Center and the many eclectic shops, boutiques, restaurants, and taverns along historic Flagler Avenue. The island even has its own small park on the eastern end. Buena Vista Park has a small walking trail, shaded picnic tables, and plenty of grass.
The beach is five minutes to the east and offers you and your dog the perfect place to go walking. With the weather here ranging from mild in the winters to hot in the summers, you won't find many days where the two of you won't be able to find at least a little time for a stroll. Of course, the island also offers plenty of sidewalks and open green areas for you to use and you can always walk to the beach. It really isn't that far!
What is the terrain like in Waterway West Condo?
Living on the North Causeway Island means having to deal with heavy traffic on the Causeway itself which tends to be heavy most of the day. It can be a bustling thoroughfare during rush hours as those who live here year-round are heading to and from work. Thankfully, there are plenty of places for you and your pooch to walk beside the main road.
On the south side is a large residential area with sidewalks, or, you can use the paths on your side of the island to get in your daily walks. Those with more ambition can follow the sidewalks all the way across the bridges from the island in either direction. If you head east, you can be on the beach in less than twenty-five minutes. If you head to the west, your hike will take you back to the mainland and Old Fort Park. Either way, you and your dog will get in a good workout.
How many greenways are there in Waterway West Condo?
North Causeway Island has the advantage of being in the middle of the Indian River North and its own small park for you and your dog to play in. But within a five-minute drive or a twenty-minute walk, the two of you can be walking on the beach where you can use the soft sand for exercise and the wet sand to cool off and relax on.
If you drive back to the mainland, you and your pooch will find several entrances to the Spruce Creek Preserve. Covering over 1,600 acres, the preserve is a great place to take your dog for walks. There are multiple trails taking you through a range of terrain, including deep forest and swamplands. There is a 15-foot tall observation tower that allows you to see out over the swamps and, if you follow the trails far enough, they'll take you all the way to Rose Bay.
