Pine Orchard Heights is well developed, with a lot of landscaped yards and trees. There is a cemetery to the west, several churches, and a school. The terrain is flat, however many of the streets do not have paved sidewalks. You will want to wear good footwear for walking beside streets in case of uneven ground, and keep a careful eye out for traffic while walking your dog, as there is not always good separation from traffic for pedestrians. However, since this neighborhood is relatively quiet, traffic is not usually very frequent. Because the area is well built up with different types of houses there is always something different to see as you explore these quiet streets, which makes walks with your dog more interesting. Also, trees provide shelter and a different vista on easy street, always something to hold your dog's interest, with lots of small critters living in this urban neighborhood due to the well-developed landscaping.
