The Arman Medical Center Condo sits near the intersection of South Nova Road and Dunlawton Avenue. This is one of the busiest intersections in town with shopping on three of the four corners. There aren't any homes nearby but, with so many businesses in the area, you'll certainly find a few interesting destinations to visit.
The stores here include a Publix grocery store where you can stock up the fridge and pick up your pup's favorite foods. The strip malls are home to a selection of restaurants and the nearest pet supply store. A mile to the west is the I-95 intersection where you can commute to all points north and south.
There are several areas to walk your dog near the condos, including a few lakes you can both enjoy walking around. These areas are perfect for short walks together to stretch your legs and provide opportunities to let your dog go potty.
This is a very hectic part of town with so many stores and businesses and is not the best place to plan dog walks. While there are sidewalks for the two of you to use, the sheer amount of traffic and the noise that comes with it can shatter the confidence of even the most stalwart of dogs. If, for any reason, you have no choice but to walk here, be sure to aim for the quieter parts of the day which are very early in the morning and later in the evening after rush hour traffic has died out.
If you need to take longer walks, you can head further away from the intersection into the nearby residential areas. Here, you and your pooch can use the sidewalks and relative peace to enjoy going for long walks together when you need more exercise than just a little short potty break is likely to give you.
Beyond the small areas of grass to the north of the condos near the FPL substation, there isn't much in the way of usable green space for you and your pup to play on. But, Port Orange isn’t that big and you and your dog can hop in the car and be at any one of the many green spaces in and around town in just a short time.
To the east and over on the other side of the Halifax River are the towns of Wilbur-by-the-Sea and Daytona Beach Shores, but more importantly, there is the beach itself! Go ahead and pull your car onto the sand and find a place to park. Then, you and your dog can tackle the soft dunes for a great workout on the outbound leg of your walk. Cool off with a dip in the waves and then take a leisurely stroll back to your car for the ride home.
