Wag! Walkers know Countryside Commercial
Countryside Commercial is both a large retail zone and a residential area at the intersection of Dunlawton Avenue and South Nova Road. There are, in fact, several apartment communities within the boundaries of this area. Each community has been carefully laid out to include large areas of grass and a lake.
While you may have to learn to live with traffic noise, shopping is right at hand. There is a Publix Supermarket and a Pet Supermarket in Dunlawton Square. A Walmart Supercenter is less than a mile to the west and plenty of small stores, banks, and restaurants are all within five minutes of your home.
The beach is less than ten minutes to the east for daily walks with your dog in the sand. If you need to commute north or south, the I-95 interchange is only ten minutes to the west. There are even several parks and places to hike in town, so you'll never be short of amenities!
What is the terrain like in Countryside Commercial?
As you might expect when you live at such a major intersection with so many shopping centers, traffic here is bustling from early in the morning until very late at night. Unless you have a very good reason to walk your dog on either Dunlawton or South Nova, you should probably avoid doing so. The noise and stench of exhaust fumes could prove to be too much for your dog and cause uncharacteristic behavior.
Fortunately, no matter which section of the community you live in, you do have the option to go walking with your dog in the residential areas surrounding them. Here, you will still have to watch for traffic, particularly during rush hours, but there will be far more time with minimal congestion. This should make it easier for you to enjoy your walk together. The only thing you have to watch out for is passing pedestrians, especially if your pooch is a bit shy.
How many greenways are there in Countryside Commercial?
Each apartment community has its own lake and plenty of landscaped lawns for you and your dog to go walking together on. However, if you want a park and you live in the northern section of this neighborhood, there is a trail from the FPL substation that will take you to the City Center. Along with the City Offices, library, and numerous other offices, there is a lake with a walking path around it.
To the east is the only bridge in town that goes over to the beach, dropping you right on the sand. You can drive along the coast with your dog and find somewhere to park. From there, the two of you can hike for miles in either direction. With a variety of terrain along the sandy dunes, you'll find no shortage of walking options, whether your pooch is lazy or athletic!
