Wag! Walkers know Countryside Medical Center Condo
Countryside Medical Center Condo is home to several medical and dental offices on the north side of Dunlawton Avenue and close to the intersection with South Nova Road. Just because this is an office condo, doesn't mean people still don't need to know more about the area. Especially for those who tend to use the surrounding area for their day to day outings!
The intersection of South Nova and Dunlawton is one of the busiest in town. All four corners have some form of shopping center or business on them. When you add these facilities to the heavy traffic that already exists here, these two roads may not be the best place to take your dog out for walks.
However, you can use Dunlawton Avenue to head towards the beach. It's only a ten-minute drive to the east over the Halifax River. Alternatively, you can go west to the I-95 interchange if you commute to work.
What is the terrain like in Countryside Medical Center Condo?
Being right on Dunlawton Avenue, you should expect to have a significant amount of traffic. You'll also deal with the noise on this main road from early in the morning before rush hour starts until late into the evening. While there is a wide paved walkway along the northern side of the road, unless your dog is very comfortable with the noise and constant traffic, you may want to find some alternatives.
A much better choice would be to head north on Woodbriar Trail and through the trees. On the other side is a trail you can use that takes you to the City Center. Along with the library and city offices, there is a large lake with a walking path around it. Here, you will also find the City Center Sports Complex with vast athletic fields where you and your pup can run about and play, providing there aren't any games going on. This whole area is fairly flat, making it easy to get around.
How many greenways are there in Countryside Medical Center Condo?
Beyond the City Center athletic fields, you have a couple of excellent green spaces within driving distance where you can take your dog for long walks.
Twenty minutes to the west on US-92 is the Tiger Bay Wildlife Management Area. The WMA covers more than 30,000 acres of forests, wetlands, and scrub. There are miles of trails for you and your dog that take you deep into the woods where there are lakes and creeks to explore. Be sure you bring plenty of bug spray and water.
Ten minutes to the east is the large expanse of the beach. All you have to do is find somewhere to park and you can walk to the north or south for as many miles as you feel comfortable with. This is a good area to find some varied terrain if your pup is a little more athletic and needs a bit of a run.
