Wag! Walkers know Four Seasons At Spruce Creek
Communities like Four Seasons at Spruce Creek offer large
luxurious homes set in carefully manicured lawns with plenty of trees. As part
of the Spruce Creek Airport communities, you have direct driving access to the airport
and runways. Unlike those homes in the Spruce Creek Fly-In section that have garages
big enough for small aircraft, the garages here are
made for cars and there are no
taxiways.
Your home here puts you across the street from the Cypress Head
Golf Club and access to I-95 via South Williamson Boulevard. But for the occasional sound
of an airplane taking off or landing, living this far from the heart
of town tends to be peaceful.
While you are far from the central part of town,
by taking S Williamson north to Dunlawton Avenue, you can be in town in less than fifteen minutes and on the beach in under twenty-five. Maybe you're not quite so far out from the heart of things after all?
What is the terrain like in Four Seasons At Spruce Creek?
Living in Four Seasons at Spruce Creek is almost like living
on a lush private island with a small group of friends. There is only one road
in and out of the community, it is surrounded on three sides by water, and it's separated
from the next neighborhood to the northeast by a thick screen of trees.
The roads here all end in cul-de-sacs, keeping the speed of
people down to an acceptable pace. There is a small amount of traffic during
the daily rush hours as the people who live here go to and from work. The homes are luxurious and sit on exquisitely maintained lawns. There are sidewalks
for you and your pup to go for your daily walks on, but as a family area, you
should also expect to see a lot of children at play. A short leash is
recommended to help ensure you can maintain full control of your dog at all
times.
How many greenways are there in Four Seasons At Spruce Creek?
There are a few small areas of woods in the community, but
they are not always easy to access and have little to offer. If you are looking
for a more significant place to take your
dog for hikes in the woods, you have a couple of choices, both of which are within
easy driving distance.
To the east are the
1,637 acres of the Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve. As a nature preserve, there
are miles of trails that take you through swamps and dense forest. There is
a fifteen-foot-high observation tower
with a fabulous view out over the wetlands.
For the more ambitious, you can hike the six miles to New Smyrna Beach and back.
It's a long hike but the scenery along the way is impressive!
To the west are the 30,000 acres of the Tiger Bay
Wildlife Management Area. Here, you will find mile upon mile of nature trails
running deep into the woods.
