Despite the name, the Gulfstream Village Condo is home to a business-retail park rather than a residential condo. This being said, there are several residential communities right next door and you never know how many residents may have pups nearby.
This neighborhood is within walking distance of the City Center Sports Complex and Athletic Fields for your daily walks. It's also close to the shopping district that runs all along Dunlawton Avenue, the main drag through town. Here, you will find big box stores like a Walmart Supercenter, a Publix Grocery store, and at least one pet supply store to keep your dog supplied with everything they need.
Beyond the athletic fields, if you want somewhere fun and green to take your pup out for walks, your journey will have to start out in the car. There are several parks in the area and the beach sits to the east.
The terrain within Gulfstream Village Condo is paved and all traffic here is constant during the day. Being next door to South Clyde Morris Boulevard also means living with steady traffic from early in the morning as rush hour begins until late in the evening long after the evening rush hour has passed.
To the south of the business center is a wide grass area with a walkable trail that will take you to the City Center Sports Complex and on past the FPL substation where it becomes a paved road. This is a nice, quiet place to take your pup walking as the only traffic you are likely to see is the few FPL vehicles that come to service the substation.
The only other place you can take your dog is into one of the surrounding residential neighborhoods. Here, you will not only be dealing with vehicular traffic, but you will also have to deal with lots of families which can add to the challenge of your walks.
The nearest greenways are to the east in the City Center Sports Complex. There are several sports fields for the two of you to run around on and get in some healthy exercise. While you and your dog are welcome to play here, your visits should be restricted to times when there aren't any other activities going on.
The town also has a dog park over on Spruce Creek Road known as the Seemore Memorial Dog Park. This one-acre park offers separate sections for both large and small breeds. Each section offers water fountains, shady benches, and a rinse station to wash away the dust once playtime is over.
The beach to the east offers an excellent place for you and your pup to spend plenty of time out in the fresh air and sunshine. You get to park on the sand and can walk for as many miles as the two of you can handle!
