Spruce Estates is a cul-de-sac community on Spruce Creek Road. There is a small section of woods to the south and multiple residential areas surrounding you. The homes here are neatly arranged on a single street and are tightly packed together. Those who live here are friendly and keep a close eye on the neighborhood, making it a safer place to raise your family and your four-legged canine companion.

South Nova Road will take you north to Dunlawton Avenue where you will find the central shopping district in town. In this area, you can find just about everything you and your family are likely to need. There are several big box retailers, supermarkets, pet supply stores, and much more for you and your family to shop at. If you like to dine out, there are also plenty of local and chain restaurants for you and your family to check out.

Living on a cul-de-sac has the advantage of minimal traffic. Rush hours within Spruce Estates are more like rush minutes, but outside of this area, roads like Spruce Creek Road tend to be very busy, making it a place you may want to avoid. Luckily, walking your dog should not be an issue as there are plenty of sidewalks for the two of you to hike along.

The one thing that comes with living in a family-friendly neighborhood is plenty of pedestrian traffic that may become a benefit or a downside, depending on your pup's personality. If they have a tendency to be skittish or nervous, you may want to opt for quieter areas of the neighborhood or any nearby secluded forested patches to maintain some space from passing pedestrians. Either way, you can enjoy the flat terrain that this neighborhood has, making it easy to access for pups of all mobility levels.

Directly to the south, there is a large area of woods where you and your dog might find trails to hike on in the shade. Alternatively, you can walk north on Spruce Creek Road. It's a five-minute walk to Buschman Park and the Margaret Buschman Parcel! The park has a playground for the kids and there is a large lake with a pier you can fish from. Along with the walking path that goes all the way around the lake, there are several trails through the woods you can take your dog walking on.

To the east and on Dunlawton Avenue is the entrance ramp leading out onto the beach. You can drive right out on the sand before you take your dog for a long walk. It’s a great way to get in plenty of exercise! Be sure you take the whole family for some fun in the sun, a picnic, and maybe a little surfing!
