Wag! Walkers know Townhomes NorAt Port Orange
The Townhomes North at Port Orange sit on the west side of South Clyde Morris Boulevard and near the junction with Big Tree Road. Most of this area has already been heavily developed with large residential communities and the Pelican Bay Golf Course and surrounding neighborhoods. Surprisingly, despite the dense development, there is a large area of woods directly to the west.
For shopping, there are a few shops at the intersection of Madeline Avenue and South Clyde Morris Boulevard. But when you need more than the basics, you can head north to where it intersects Beville Road in South Daytona. Here, you will find a Publix Supermarket and a Walmart Supercenter where you should be able to buy just about everything you and your family dog are likely to need. Along with this, there are plenty of places for you and your family to grab a bite to eat.
What is the terrain like in Townhomes NorAt Port Orange?
South Clyde Morris Boulevard is a bustling four-lane road running north and south through the entire Ormond Beach-Daytona Beach-Port Orange metroplex. This stretch of road stays hectic from early in the morning until far into the night. There is some grass around the complex and woods to the west for the two of you to walk around that should keep you safely away from the traffic.
There are sidewalks, not only around the complex, but also in the neighboring residential communities for you and your dog to use for your daily walks. If you must walk on paved surfaces, this makes a much better choice than trying to go walking along South Clyde Morris where the volume of traffic could prove to be more than your dog can handle. If you are even in the slightest bit concerned that your dog might get spooked, be sure you use a short leash that keeps you fully in control.
How many greenways are there in Townhomes NorAt Port Orange?
The most obvious green space is the large section of woods to the west of the complex. There are several trails running through them for you and your pooch to wander along under the shade of the dense canopy and a couple of small lakes to walk around. These woods run for quite a way to the south, all the way down to Madeline Avenue.
A little further to the west on Madeline where it diverts off on South Williamson Boulevard, there is a vast undeveloped area that currently acts as a buffer zone between the residential areas and I-95. Within this area, you and your dog can follow any of the many different trails people have carved through the woods to reach the various lakes buried deep in the trees. It's a nice, cool place to walk your dog in the shade of the trees out of the glare of the scorching summer sun.
