Widman Acres is a small single-family home community located on the Hillsborough River just off of Hwy 583. As is typical of most residential areas in this part of the city, there is a distinct lack of sidewalks for you and your pup to go walking on. In fact, the only two streets with sidewalks are Rivermills Dr. and Ridgeway Rd but there are dog-friendly parks within driving distance along with pet supply stores. There is also a mobile vet on the corner of Rivermills and Ridgeway with several restaurants and fast-food chain restaurants in the area that are within walking distance of the community.
The weather in this part of central Florida is mild year-round with winter temperatures typically in the low 70s and summer highs in the high 80s. Keep in mind that summers are often plagued by heavy thundershowers in the afternoon. Be prepared and be sure you bring an umbrella!
