More natural trails exist in the park, but unmaintained trails may have rough or hazardous terrain. Remember that this greenway is meant to provide natural habitats and your dog should be leashed so as not to harass local critters that make the park their home.
The west side of the neighborhood has a greenway with a trail. The Whetstone Creek trail is 1.4 miles long, paved, and follows an old rail line in the area. Bikers and hikers use the trail, so watch out for traffic on the path. The trail crosses Whetstone Creek with a wooden footbridge. Much of the trail course is wooded with some marshlands as well which makes for a green, sometimes shady walkway for you and your pup to enjoy.
