The boundaries of Buckhead Forest include Piedmont Road North to the east, Peachtree Road Northeast to the south, and Roswell Road Northwest to the west. The southern part of the neighborhood is home to all the commercial properties and shopping complexes, so there may be more traffic in that part of Buckhead Forest.
How many greenways are there in Buckhead Forest?
Unfortunately, there are no greenways located in Buckhead Forest. However, there are a few greenways in the neighboring areas. Tower Place Park is only one block to the west of Buckhead Forest and is a one-acre park with fountains, paved walking trails, and outdoor sculptures. Charlie Loudermilk Park is immediately adjacent to Buckhead Forest on the southwest corner. This small plaza has paved sidewalks and a few manicured green spaces.
Less than a mile to the south of Buckhead Forest, you will find Frankie Allen Park. This greenway has a few sports facilities, some walking trails, and a historic cemetery.
Unfortunately, the nearest dog park is six miles away to the southeast. Mason Mill Dog Park is an off-leash area that will be perfect if Fido has extra energy to run, wants to meet some other local pups, or if you're just looking for something different than your routine walk.
