The Downtown Davenport neighborhood is the central business district of Davenport, Iowa, located along the banks of the Mississippi River. This region is an entertainment and arts district and also provides entertainment, shopping, and civic services within walking distance of Downtown Davenport. Residents with dogs that walk the downtown streets will find lots of activity and interesting destinations nearby.

A warm coat and good footwear are a must for Davenport winters. Summers, on the other hand, are hot! Temperatures average 84 degrees Fahrenheit which can make walking during daytime hours uncomfortable. Take water so you and your pooch don't dehydrate on long walks or choose cooler times of the day to take your daily constitutional.
