The Archer Heights neighborhood runs all the way from just south of Chicago's downtown through the southwest side of Chicago and beyond it into the southwest suburbs. The neighborhood is bounded by the Stevenson Expressway to the north and the CTA Orange line to the south. The area is just a short train ride from the hustle and bustle of Chicago's downtown and to the east lies the beautiful Lake Michigan. The lake offers lots of scenic walks and the shores are the perfect place for a post-walk splash!

The Archer Heights area is largely very flat. Much like most of Chicago, its streets are level and easily navigated. It makes a lovely place for a lazy Sunday stroll or a brisk mid-week walk. It is a suburb of Chicago and so, as expected, it is a largely built-up area. Its southern side is mostly taken up by residential buildings and its streets are populated by families, friends, and lots of dogs! Railroads and industry occupy most of the area's northern side. The Chicago canal runs just north of the neighborhood.  This area is a great spot for dog owners and with so much going on, walking your pup is sure to be lots of fun!

Archer Heights is home to Archer Park and Curie Park. The parks are great spots to take your pup for some exercise. Archer Park is located on Kilburn Avenue and its 13 acres make it the perfect playground for your pooch while its grassy fields are perfect for a game of fetch. The park also features baseballs fields, a playground, and a basketball court. Your pup will have to remain on-leash at the park, but there is still lots of fun to be had. The park is much loved by the neighborhood's residents and it remains well-kept and clean, ready to be enjoyed by all. 

Curie Park can be found on the south side of the neighborhood on Archer Avenue. It too boasts 13 acres. The park offers baseballs fields, basketball courts, and soccer pitches. Both are lovely spots where your pup will be able to blow off some steam, play, and meet other dogs!
