Graceland West is a charming little neighborhood on the north side of Chicago filled with condos, duplexes, apartments, and townhomes. Here, you will find college students, families, young professionals, and retirees all living together. Along Greenview Ave., the homes resemble miniature mansions as many of them were built during the Victorian era. Some of these homes have been converted into multi-unit housing for students and young professionals. There aren't many restaurants in the immediate area, but you don't have far to drive to find tasty places to eat. The streets here are lined with sidewalks and wide grass berms hidden under massive shade trees, making them a great place to take a walk.
Winters here can be harsh to live with, especially when the winds come howling off the lake, driving the temperatures well below zero. Often the winds drive heavy snows along with them, burying all of Chicago in many inches of snow.
