Located in north-central Chicago, Old Town Triangle is an area in what is referred to as Old Town, and often the two district distinctions are blurred. The area gets its name from being one of the first areas to be rebuilt after the Great Fire. This neighborhood is residential, however, due to its central location, tourist attractions, and thriving arts and theatre scenes, there are many nightclubs, theatres, clubs, museums, restaurants, and hotels present in the neighborhood. These areas are walkable and the park can be reached on foot by area residents.
The weather in Chicago can be severe with spring thunderstorms, winter blizzards, and hot, humid summers, however, the lake moderates temperatures for pedestrians in Old Town Triangle, making temperatures a few degrees cooler in summer and warmer in the winter. Check the forecast before venturing out with your dog for a walk, and adjust plans if severe weather is imminent.
