Rogers Park, Chicago is the city's northernmost neighborhood. Its distance from Chicago's downtown may, in part, be the reason that the area emanates such an under-the-radar feel. Bounded by the city of Evanston to the north, Ridge Boulevard to the west, and Lake Michigan to the east, the area boasts spectacular lakefront views making it a lovely place to take your pup to stretch their legs. Multiple train stops mean that the area is also easily accessible. The sounds of the waves crashing on the shores of Lake Michigan is the perfect soundtrack to any walk. Almost all of the streets leading east will take you to public beaches or parkland.

The area encompasses Pottawattomie Park, Leonie Beach Park, and Loyola Park, meaning that there are lots of great open spaces to explore with your inquisitive pup!

The area is also famed for its cultural diversity. It boasts a multitude of galleries, studios, bars and clubs!

Rogers Park is a residential area. It is, for the most part, made up of residential streets and homes. However, as it borders Lake Michigan, it avoids the claustrophobic atmosphere that many of the inner-city districts have. The neighborhood balances urban living with easy access to nature. Its breathtaking views of Lake Michigan are something to be marvelled.

In keeping with most of Chicago, Rogers Park is a very flat area. This makes it the perfect destination for those looking to enjoy a relaxing walk. You won't find any mega hiking here! But the various parks and beach mean that you'll never get bored. Your pooch can even head into the lake for a splash before you head home. There is lots to see, do, and discover!

Additionally, good transport connections mean that picking up supplies for your pooch is convenient, making it easy to ensure that your dog has everything they might need.

In the northwest of the area lies Pottawattomie Park. It is much-loved by the community and offers an array of sporting facilities, an after-school program, a gymnasium, a dog run, and much more!
