West Lawn, Chicago is a community area located in the southwest section of Chicago. This community area is primarily residential with industrial activity associated with the railroad tracks on its perimeter. There is a large commercial area located just south of West Lawn. However, it can not be accessed on foot due to railroad tracks and industrial activity in the area.

Smaller thoroughfares, such as 63rd Street and Marquette Road, have businesses and services that residents who live near these streets can reach on foot. The main thoroughfare in the community, Pulaski Road, has plenty of restaurants, retail shops, grocers, service stations, and other businesses that many residents of West Lawn can walk to.
