Fenwick Island Beach

Happily known as The Quiet Beach by the locals, Fenwick Island Beach is a small, beachy area located between popular resort towns like Bethany Beach and Ocean City (which, we also have an article on, give it a read!). This golden coastline is often described as a soft, easy-breezy getaway from the summer crowds on the more popular beaches and provides a relaxing escape on a three-mile stretch of barrier island. 

Go to Fenwick Island for the day and you'll find sand, surf, sun, and of course, plenty of doggos running around with their pawrents on this beautiful beach. The place you'll find the most doggo-friendly welcome is the Fenwick Island State Park - this is a great place for pets to stretch out and get some exercise. All the park asks is that you make sure you're keeping your four-legged friend on a leash at all times, no matter how much they want to run free on the sand with their pup friends. 

You and your doggo will even have the opportunity to climb over the dunes, beachcomb, and hang out. Some of this beach is only open to doggos and their pawrents during the off-season between Labor Day and May 15th, so make sure that you give Fenwick Island State Park a call before you show up with your pooch to ensure that you and your doggo are able to explore the section of beach you want!

Depending on where you are, other amenities may be hard to come by (although there are a few small shops along the beach), so bring some food and drink for both you and your pupper. That way, you'll be able to enjoy your surroundings all day long!
