Fort DeRussy Beach

Looking for a slice of paradise to explore? You'll find what you are seeking at Fort De Russy Beach! This pawsitively awesome spot is located on a 71-acre oceanfront property which is also home to a military reservation. The beach and reservation takes its name from General Rene Edward de Russy, a gentleman who was a West Point graduate and who figured prominently in the Civil War. 

The stunning white sand coastline extends 1/3 of a mile, leaving ample room for you to grab your best canine pal and head out for a stroll in search of treasures. If you find you've worked up quite a lather from combing the beach, why not hit the open waves with your main canine squeeze by your side? You'll find Fort De Russy Beach is the pawrfect spot for some fun in the sun! Make sure to keep Fido on his lead as the Hawaii paw patrol strictly enforce leash laws. You'll want to stay on their fur-iendly side!

Enjoy beautiful picnic areas with puptastic views of the sea, a picture-pawrfect place to enjoy your lunch. When you pack your cooler, be sure to include a few extra hot dogs to throw on the grill for Fido too. You'll want to be certain to bring some bottled water and clean up bags as well. 

You and your pooch can also meander along the boardwalk and snap some doggone amazing photos of Hawaiian sunsets, a terrierific sight you won't want to miss! There are bathrooms located at each end of the beach which features showers, so you can hose down your fave doggo  should you find he has half the beach in his coat!
