Description
If the warm Hawaiian breeze is calling your name, plan a trip to Gray's Beach! Located in the east beside the Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki, this pawrific seaside haven offers people and their pooches a pawsome spot to have some fun in the sun. The beach takes its name from Mrs. LaVancha Gray, a lady who owned and operated a boarding house on the shore many years ago. If you bring your binoculars, you will be able to spot an opening within the reef which formerly permitted boats to pass through and dock along the banks. You'll want to capture a few shots of this barking great attraction, for sure!

In ancient days, the waters at Gray's Beach were believed to promote healing and forgiveness, and many would flock to its shores to wade in for better health and well-being. While it is unknown if these people found what they were looking for, you will certainly have a pawsitively awesome time both on the sand and in the surf at Gray's Beach! Fido can take the plunge into the clear, blue sea alongside you or cop a squat on the sand to work on his best suntan; he is welcome in all areas of Gray's Beach. But to be sure to keep your fave pooch on his leash at all times!

You'll want to plan ahead before heading out for your furrific adventure at Gray's Beach. During high tide, the waters nearly completely engulf the shore, leaving very little room for beachcombing, sunbathing, or other coastal activities. During low tide, you can grab your best canine pal and head out for a stroll, or plant yourselves in the sand to do some people watching. If water activities are more your bag, you will find the warm saltwater to be the pawrfect spot for surfing, swimming, and other watersports!

There are lots of woofderful amenities at Gray's Beach. You'll find pawblic bathrooms and showers here, and there are also concession stands where you can purchase snacks and drinks. You'll want to be certain to pack a beach bag which includes bottled water, Scooby snacks, and cleanup bags.

For a doggone great time, plan a trip to Gray's Beach. It's a puptastic place!
