Kahala Beach stretches from residential houses along Kahala Avenue to Kahala hotel. There is a small parking lot that can fill up quickly, but plenty of street parking and multiple beach entries can be found from the residential area. Beach amenities include restrooms, and an outdoor shower station where you can rinse off your sandy doggo before they get back in the car.
The ocean along this beach is pretty shallow, low or high tide. This is perfect for your pal to enjoy some roughhousing and playing in the water, or pups learning to swim. The water is clear as glass, with lots of colorful coral. If you'd like to continue the adventure, you can take a long, relaxing stroll east along the beach until you reach Wai'alea Beach Park. This park features vine covered picnic areas, and a bridge over a wide stream.
Dogs will continue to be welcome at Kahala Beach as long as proper petiquette is followed. This includes keeping them leashed, picked up after, and making sure they remain respectful to all other creatures. Be sure to have clean up bags on hand. Keep your pal hydrated by bringing plenty of drinking water and making sure they aren't drinking from the ocean. Keep in mind that dogs can get sunburnt too, and if the sand is burning your feet, it'll burn paws as well.
Kahala Beach is sure to put a smile on your face and a wag in your dog's tail!
