Once you find the pawrfect spot and walk past the golf course grounds, you will discover this pawsitively awesome beach. Your pooch may join you in all areas of Kahuku Beach, but do keep Fido leashed at all times.Â
Kahuku Beach is known for its pawrfic white sand that glows a golden hue in the light of the sun, making it a great place to take a stroll with your best canine pal. This pawtastic oceanside haven sees very little traffic which is why many people think it is the pawrfect place for a quiet getaway in a secluded spot. The local fisherman love to cast their nets out here, so bring along a fishing rod and some bait for a chance to catch your own lunch. Other pawsome activities including surfing and picnicking. You can picnic anywhere along the vast white sand shore, but the best surfing is found at Rice Bowl to the north or Seventh Hole to the south.Â
This woofderful sandy retreat is lined with sand dunes as well as a tall limestone wall. There is lots of barkingly beautiful greenery in the form of heliotrope trees and a local green bush known as Naupaka.
Swimming is not recommended at this beach for humans or for doggoes. The ocean floor is quite rocky and is lined with coral reef which is very hard on the feet. The current can also be exceptionally strong.
Kahuku Beach has very little shade, so you will want to be sure you bring along some sunscreen and even an umbrella to give you and your main canine squeeze some protection from the sun. You will also need to tote along drinking water and some cleanup bags from home.Â
