The ocean waters are ideal for surfing when the wave conditions are right. When the currents run a little calmer, you can grab your scuba gear and head fathoms below to check out the local sea creatures that make this area their home. Though Fido won't welcome an underwater adventure, he can join you for a swim or a suntan at Manini Beach. To be sure to stay on the fur-iendly side of the Hawaii paw-lice, you'll want to keep your best canine pal on a lead.Â
The shores of Manini Beach are comprised largely of crushed lava rock and some coral though there are sand portions closer to the coastline. The rock and coral is particularly sharp and can cut the tender tootsies of your favorite pooch. You'll want to stick to the sand portions of the beach to protect Fido's sensitive paw pads. Sea turtles like to sunbathe on the rocks and in the sand, so take care that Fido doesn't disturb them. There is a very hefty fine that is not-so-pawrific for those who mess with the turtles!
There are lots of furrific things for you to do at Manini Beach, and your best canine pal can come along too! From snorkeling to paddleboarding, picnicking, and more, you and your favorite pooch are bound to have a doggone good time! Don't forget to pack a beach essentials kit which includes snacks, bottled water, clean up bags, and sunscreen for you and for Fido too! There is little shade at Manini Beach, and the sun is pawrifically strong, so you will want to bring an umbrella and limit Fido's beach time to cooler portions of the day.Â
Looking for a great new beach to explore? Plan a trip to Manini Beach. You'll have a barking good time!
