You may take Fido with you anywhere on the grounds of Nordhouse Dunes except on the swimming beach. To avoid any run-ins with the Michigan paw-lice, be sure to keep Fido on a leash.

Why not spend the day checking out one of the region's 10 miles of trails with your favorite canine pal? A weekly permit can be obtained for $15.
