From lounging along the coast taking in the sun's rays to splashing in the crisp, blue waters of Lake Charles, Fido is welcome to join you for these activities and much more. Louisiana does maintain leash laws, so to be sure to keep the local paw-lice happy, you should pack a leash and make certain to use it during Fido's visit to North Beach.Â
North Beach is the best known of all of the Lake Charles beaches. Because of this, it is more heavily trafficked, meaning Fido and the whole fam can double their fun by meeting lots of pawsome new people and their pooches. A $5 per car fee is required to access the beach, but North Beach offers lots of bang for your buck with many woofderful activities for you to enjoy! There is a boardwalk which connects three different dog-friendly parks together. You can leash up your best canine pal and go for a stroll to visit the Millenium Park, the September 11th Memorial, or Veteran's Memorial; all parks which warmly invite visits from people and their pooches.Â
Other doggone great things to do at North Beach include swimming, picnicking, volleyball, diving, water sports, and beachcombing. Bathrooms are provided on the grounds for public use. Since it is unknown if there is any drinking water available to help keep your pooch from getting parched, you should be sure to pack a "doggy bag" chock full of all of the pawsome things Fido might need for his day of beach fun. Don't forget to include bottled water, clean up bags, and some extra scrumptious treats!
If a Gulf Coast adventure is what you had in mind, plan a trip to North Beach. Visitors give it two paws up!
