Anastasia State Park

Explore acres of Atlantic shoreline and abundant wildlife at Anastasia State Park near St Augustine, Florida. This state park is actually an ever-growing deposit of sand that continues to link islands close to the shore. What started as a quarry for coquina rock has turned into a place where people come from all over to get close to this unique and natural location. 

At this state park, you'll find 139 campsites, most of which offer electric hookups. Sites feature fire rings and picnic tables and all cost $28 per night. You'll also need to pay an $8 parking fee per vehicle. There are various shelters for dining, some of which are large enough for groups. Water faucets are on-site as well as fountains for drinking, and a dump station is accessible on the grounds. A small store is located in the park so you can restock your supplies without even leaving the grounds.

The beautiful beach draws many campers to this area, not to mention all of the fun that can be had out in the water. Partake in surfing, swimming, boating, kayaking, or other aquatic sports either out in the ocean or in the calmer salt run between the island and the mainland. The park's many trails are perfect for biking or setting out for a trek with your doggo by your side. In addition to all of this, there are planned nature activities, a playground, and geocache points to find throughout the facility.

Four-legged visitors are welcome here, though they are not allowed to go on the beach or into any of the buildings. The park also asks that you keep your pup on a 6-foot leash throughout your stay -- and that you clean up all pet waste your woofer leaves behind! Also, remind your furry friend to be on their best behavior while in the park or they may not be allowed to stay.
