Description

The allure of the mountains draws campers to stay at Angel Fire RV Resort, a super classy campground in the Rocky Mountains. This campground is enticing, with gorgeous scenery and amenities similar to a 5-star hotel.

Sleek pull-through/back-in sites connect RVs to electricity (30/50 amp) water, sewer, wifi, and cable TV. Concrete pads are spacious and level, with grass and a trendy landscaped space on either side. Internal roads are spacious to accommodate the big rigs, and there is a picnic table on every site, with trees growing to eventually provide shade. The average daily rate is $49 in autumn and spring, climbing up to $55 per night in the winter and $65 throughout the summer months.

Restrooms, showers, and a laundry are first-rate, as are communal fire pits for barbequing. Activities include horseshoes, mountain biking, golf, and pickleball. When the snowflakes start to fall, the side of the mountain opens for evening skiing and snowboarding.

Kids are in for a magical holiday with a cool climbing wall at Monte Verde Lake less than a 10-minute drive from the resort. Olympic Park offers children an awesome playground with basketball and tennis courts.

There is a stylish range of RV sites with mountain and resort views, plus buddy sites you can share with a friend. Camp rentals feature chic, furnished interiors with a kitchen, bathroom, and fireplace for those chilly winter nights.

The Lodge presents hotel-style accommodation with a gym, swimming pool, and spa. There is a selection of pet-friendly suites with a cafe and family-friendly dining.

The resort welcomes dogs and has created a large pooch park that is fully fenced so dogs can romp around off-leash. Doggy bags are provided, and pet owners are encouraged to clean up their waste. Any other time, your pooch is required to be on a leash no longer than six feet, and there's a limit of two pets per site. Woofers will be in hound-dog heaven with 32 acres to explore and a walking trail for daily outings. If you have any concerns in regard to the resort's pet policies, contact the friendly staff for peace of mind.

A view of the Rockies will tempt those who dare to venture into Carson National Forest near the resort. The Williams Lake Trail is a challenging walk for all levels of expertise and takes you to Wheeler Peak, the highest mountain in New Mexico with far-reaching views. Dogs can trek this trail on-leash, and be sure to keep them hydrated.

Located off the Enchanted Circle Scenic Roadway, Angel Fire RV Resort is popular all year round, so book ahead to secure a premium site.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
