You have two campground options - Loop A is situation amoung dense aspen trees that provide lots of shade and cool areas to set up camp out of the sun, while Loop B is much more open, has more sunlight, and features only grasses with no trees and shade. Loop B gives you the best view of the reservoir, which many campers love to wake up to every morning! You have water, trees, forest, open grassy fields, and loads of hiking trails in the area to use while you are camping. Strawberry Reservoir is the best for fishing, boating, and practicing your water skiing. You also have direct access to a 12-mile trail called the Strawberry Narrows Trail that is scenic and great to take your dog on.
For the actual campground, you will have access to flushing toilets and fresh drinking water. Campfire rings, boat ramp, restrooms, fish cleaning stations, picnic shelters, RV sites, and a campground host are available to you as well. Peak season is May to September, so be prepared for the biggest crowds during this time.
Dogs are more than welcome to stay at this campground with you, but they should wear a leash at all times. They should have plenty of cool drinking water and a shady place to rest so they do not overheat - especially in the summer months. Poop bags are not provided, so bring your own to clean up after your dog. This will help keep the park clean and beautiful, as it should be.
Overall, Aspen Grove Campground offers campers a variety of sites, stunning views, and some of the best hiking and fishing in the region. So, grab your camping gear and head out for a weekend full of fun!
