Description

Initially built by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Bailey's Point is a summertime haven for adventurers, offering water skiing, boating, and hiking. When combined with its basketball courts and horseshoe pits, Bailey's Point Campground makes a perfect vacation spot for families.

Boating is quite popular at Bailey's Point, thanks to its access to the 10,000-acre Barren River Lake. This lake contains several small islands populating the waters to the north and south to anchor by and explore. Overnight guests are free to use the campground's concrete boat ramp, provided they've got all necessary registration on their vessel. If you've got Fido in tow, make sure you keep them safe while they're riding with you -- don't fur-get the doggy life jacket!

For potential campers, there are a few different options included in the 215 sites at Bailey's Point. The standard non-electric sites start at the base rate of $17. There are also standard non-electric sites that offer a more scenic view, for just a dollar more at $18 per evening. Electric sites are also available here in case you're looking to run lights or just keep your gadgets charged, and cost $23 per night.

If you've decided to come with a larger group, double-sized group shelters are also available at a rate of $50 per evening. Most of the electrified sites also come with potable water taps, and all sites include a campfire ring and picnic table. Coin-operated laundry services are centrally located here, as well as a general store with an adjacent ice machine and vending services.

Canines are welcome to come along for your overnight stay, provided you've got them leashed and keep them out of indoor structures like the public restroom facilities and vending areas.

You and Fido are sure to make un-fur-gettable memories during your stay at Baileys Point Campground!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
