The campground is located in the forest near Packer Lake and Packer Creek. Note that you will have to bring water for you and your canine companion as the campground does not have running water. There are, however, some streams where you can access drinking water, but you will need to purify it yourself. You should also be aware that the fire pit is restricted sometimes due to hot or dry weather conditions.
