Description

Sierra Campground is one of the premier camping destinations in northeastern California. It rests beside the North Yuba River in Tahoe National Forest. Camping at Sierra Campground is a great way to experience everything Tahoe National Forest has to offer. The forest spans nearly one million acres, and its picturesque features and amazing outdoor activities attract countless visitors every season.  So pack up your tent and head out to the campground for the camping trip of a lifetime. Sierra Campground is pet-friendly, so you can even bring your canine companion along with you!

The campground has 16 sites that can accommodate up to six campers each. It is well-shaded by the surrounding fir trees, and it also has a number of amenities that will enhance your stay. The campground offers picnic tables and campfire rings at each site, and vault restrooms are available on the premises.

While the campground is a great place to relax and unwind, there are many outdoor activities nearby that you might want to check out. There is a sizeable trail network that passes through the area of the campground, and this can be a great location for a hike or a short walk. The Pacific Crest Trail is one of the more popular parts of this network. If swimming and boating are more your thing, then head to Sardine Lakes. These neighboring lakes rest just five miles from the campground, and you can even rent a boat while you’re there.

When you are planning your trip to Sierra Campground, remember that the campground is tent-only and cannot accommodate RVs. Also remember that you are in an active bear area; you should make sure to take proper safety precautions. Drinking water is not provided at Sierra Campground, but you do have the option of purifying water from the North Yuba River.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
