Description

The Big Bend Group Campsite in the Tahoe National Forest is near the South Yuba River. You can share an outdoor adventure with your family or with a group of friends in the area. There are two sites here, and each one can hold up to 25 people and five vehicles. The facility accommodates tents or RVs, but there are no hook-ups. Check with the Yuba River Ranger District about RV size restrictions. Each group location is ADA accessible and includes picnic tables, drinking water, campfire rings, and vault toilets.

This puptacular campground is in the Sierra Nevadas, and it offers access to a range of nearby recreational activities. Spend some time swimming and fishing for rainbow trout in the Yuba River. The Loch Leven Lakes Trailhead is a short walk away. On this steep pathway, you can hike among granite outcroppings and some bare rock to see a chain of glacial lakes. The trail is open from June until November, provided that weather conditions permit. There are also some mountain bike and off-road ATV routes out here. If you want to learn about the cultural heritage of the area, check out the interpretive museum in the visitor center.

The Tahoe National Forest permits campers to bring their fur babies to developed campsites. When they're not in your tent or vehicle, keep them secure on a six-foot leash, and never leave them unattended. Pack in supplies and pack out your waste when you come here.

The Big Bend Group Site offers a furrific place to take a vacation in nature. Out here, you can sleep beneath a cover of pine and fir trees. Take your pick of nearby activities like fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, and climbing. At night, gather by the fire ring and gaze at the stars while your fur baby relaxes nearby. Enjoy exploring the woods and waterfront with your special pal.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
