If you're looking for a place to stay while you explore the city of Albany, Oregon, or you need an overnight stop while passing through the area, Blue Ox RV Park is a pet-friendly park that's worth checking out. Found just a few miles east of the downtown area, the park boasts a convenient location, clean surrounds, and all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay.
This large park boasts a total of 149 paved sites. All sites offer full hookups (30- and 50-amp power available) and 70 of them are pull-through sites. Roads in the park are nice and wide, and the space between sites is decent enough. And while the park is conveniently located close to I-5, it's far enough away that you shouldn't have to worry about traffic noise.
Happily, the park is typically clean and well-kept, easy to access, and boasts clean restrooms and showers. WiFi is available but only in the lobby, and there's a heated indoor pool available for use all year round. Other facilities include a rec room (with TV, pool table, and ping pong), exercise room, and horseshoe pit.
Pets are welcome in the park, but must be kept leashed and under control at all times. There are some grassy areas where your pet can enjoy some fresh air, but your best bet is to head across the road to Timber Linn Memorial Park. The park boasts beautiful walking trails, its own pond (anyone want to feed the ducks?), playgrounds, and an off-leash dog park. The off-leash area has separate sections for large and small breeds, so it's a grrr-eat spot to let your pooch run free.
Daily rates in Blue Ox RV Park are $38.69 for a 30-amp site and $42.10 for a 50-amp site, but discounts are available. So when you're looking for pet-friendly RV accommodation close to downtown Albany, this park certainly has plenty to recommend it.
