Bolding Mill Campground sits about 50 miles from Atlanta in northern Georgia. It's a popular destination for all types of campers, and every season people from near and far come to stay there. If you’re looking for a nice location for your next camping trip down south, you’ve found the perfect place. You’re sure to love the campground’s awesome setting — it is situated in the woods next to Lake Lanier. The areas around the campground also offer paw-lenty of sights and activities for campers to enjoy. And you can bring your dog with you for your camping trip since Bolding Mill Campground is pet-friendly!
Bolding Mill has quite a few campsites — 91 to be exact. Most of the sites have electric and water hookups and cost $24 per night, but primitive tent-only sites are also available for $18 per night. (Note that on weekends there is an additional $10 charge.) Each site has a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. On the campground’s premises, you can also find a fishing pier, laundry facility, and drinking water. A playground and boat ramp are available just outside of the campground as well.
You’ll probably want to take advantage of the area’s great outdoor recreation sites while you visit Bolding Mill. A good place to start is Lake Lanier. The lake encompasses nearly 40,000 acres and is a fantastic spot for fishing, boating, and picnicking. You might also want to check out some of the hiking trails in the area, pawticularly if you're hoping to catch sight of the region's native wildlife on your trip. Not up for a hike? Take a stroll on Lake Lanier's scenic shoreline! While there is a swimming area here, it's unclear if dogs are allowed on the beach or in the water.
There are a few things to remember when you’re staying at Bolding Mill. Although this campground previously welcomed winter campers, the park will be closed for the 2018/2019 winter season. Dogs must be leashed, cleaned up after, and attended to at all times. This campground does not accept walk-ins; you must reserve your site before arriving at the campground.
