Breitenbush Campground

Located in the Willamette National Forest, Breitenbush Campground is a peaceful riverside campground that welcomes dogs on-leash. This campground offers 26 spacious campsites, many of which have great views of the Breitenbush River. The daily fee for this pawsitively amazing campground is $18.00.

If you want to hike with your pup during your trip, there are plenty of great trails near the campground.  If you’d like to go on a long hike, check out the South Breitenbush Gorge Trail. This 10-mile trail takes you through a forest filled with Douglas fir trees and along a stunning gorge. If you want to hike along a peaceful creek, try the Roaring Creek Trail, which takes you through a forest and by Roaring Creek. At the end of the trail, you’ll get a great view of Crown Lake and the stunning Cascades Mountains. No matter which trail you choose, you and your dog are sure to have fun hiking here!

Breitenbush is also a popular choice for anglers and those who love water sports. The campground is located right on the Breitenbush River, which is home to a large stock of rainbow trout, and it's also just a short drive from Detroit Lake, where you can go boating, water skiing, kayaking, or canoeing. 

At night, you and your dog can relax and enjoy your campsite’s amenities. Each campsite comes with a grill and a picnic table. If you or your dog get thirsty, drinking water spigots are available throughout the campground. Please note that some campsites lack parking space, so be mindful of that if you plan to bring more than one vehicle along.
