Description
Camp Rucker Group Site is located in Coronado National Forest in Arizona. The actual group campsite sits in the Chiricahua Mountains, a stunning location perfect for spending the weekend with loved ones and your furry friends. The group site is large and spacious and can accommodate up to 150 people. The campsite is relatively popular, so if you want to book this group site, reservations must be made at least four days in advance but can be made up to twelve months in advance as well.

Camp Rucker lies in an open and grassy area, perfect for pitching lots of tents and running around. The green area is surrounded by big trees that provide plenty of shade and relief from the sun, especially on a hot, summer day. From the site, you have views of the mountains, smaller peaks, and foothills that give you some of the best scenic views in the area. At the campsite, you will have access to eight picnic tables, two long, serving tables for all of your yummy food, campfire rings with grills, trash cans that bears cannot get into, and vault toilets. There are no showers at this location.

You also have access to the many trails in the area that are perfect for hiking with your pup. The campsite does not provide fresh drinking water, so you must bring your own. Remember to bring enough water for your dog as well! Poop bags are not offered at the site, so you must bring those with you. It is essential to always clean up after your dog goes potty to keep the campground clean, sanitary, and as beautiful as it was when you first got there.

Overall, Camp Rucker Group Site is a perfect place to camp as a large group or as an individual as long as the site is not booked. Peak season runs from January to December every year, so make sure to make a reservation for your group! Between the mountain views and spacious grassy area, this site has the best of both worlds.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
