Desert Oasis does not have trees or many naturally shady areas. There is no grass, and it is solely rocks and dirt that make up the campground. From the campground, you can see the surrounding mountains and valley from all campsites and can also see the sunrise and sunset every day. They have over 3 miles of hiking trails you can walk with your pup during your stay. You can rent campers and RVs during your stay as well, just in case tent camping is not for you, or you are looking for something different.Â
You will also have access to their large recreation room with a gym, tv lounge, pool table, and kitchen that serves potluck dinners for guests every night. There is also cable, WiFi, a bar, library, restrooms with flushing toilets, family showers, laundry, and coffee hour every day so you can meet the other campers.Â
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area as well. Old Bisbee, Kartchner Caverns State Park, Wilcox Playa beach, museums and so much more are close to the campground.Â
Dogs are allowed to come with you, and they can be on or off leash in the campground. We do suggest you keep your dog on a leash instead of letting them roam around the site alone. This will keep your dog, and others dogs, safe. Make sure you clean up after your dog when they go to the bathroom and bring your own poop bags just in case there are none available at the campground.Â
Overall. Desert Oasis is a good option if you need a pet-friendly place to stay close to many fun attractions in the McNeal area. With all of their amenities and beautiful surroundings, you cannot go wrong!
