Description

For convenient camping near Canyonlands National Park, look no further than Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground. The venue provides fantastic views and amenities among the red rocks, with just enough shade to keep you comfortable, a cute creek for cooling off and a variety of camping options to choose from.

A good-sized swimming pool is on-site, as is a fenced playground. A small store provides everything you could need if you happen to forget something at home, such as firewood or ice. Activities provided include horseshoe pits, hiking, picnic areas, cable TV, golf course access, fishing, and wine tasting. Other basic amenities include a dump station, WiFi access, on-site ATM, restroom and shower facilities, campfire pits and laundry facilities.

Additionally, the campground is within walking distance to downtown Moab. You’ll be able to walk to dining, shopping, breweries and wineries and other green spaces, if you so desire. Tour providers for the nearby national parks are also available.

Choose from several different camping “types” during your stay. A tent site includes water and electric, a fire ring, a grill top, and a picnic table. RV sites offer sewer access, cable, picnic tables, electric and water, and cement pads. Larger vacation rentals include cabins that can sleep up to six, with handicap access. Pavilions are also available for rent, for group outings.

Pets are allowed and there is a small pet area, including a convenient off-leash dog park. Things to consider include the busyness of the park, given its proximity to such a popular national landmark; the closeness of the camping sites (this is nowhere to go if you prefer primitive, secluded camping); and the tight turns on the road, which might be difficult for larger rigs. Also note that stay pricing fluctuates, with pricing based off the park's available vacancies.

If visiting this campground, just be sure you bring along a standard leash for Fido, for walks into town, and their summer dog booties for those hot, Utah days.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
