Cedar Creek RV Park is a moderately-sized campground with big amenities. There are about 70 sites available, ranging from full hook-up pull in and back in sites for big camping outfits, to small rig sites with water and electric, and primitive tent sites. Glamping accommodations are also provided in the form of either a refurbished 1964 Winnebago or a 21-foot, slide-out RV. Several log cabins with room for up to six are available. However, the cabins and the glamping facilities both do not allow pets.Â
The park’s amenities include an enclosed exercise area for dogs, free WiFi, free cable with 24 channels, free miniature golf, a laundromat, a pavilion for group events, a playground, a gift shop and a restroom and shower facilities.Â
Located along a tranquil creek, the well-maintained and family-friendly space, with its plentiful shade and amenities, may make you never want to leave your campsite, but the RV park is also a wonderful base camp for your adventures around the area. Its location makes certain attractions very easily accessible, including Black Canyon in Gunnison National Park (known for its rugged appeal), Owl Creek Pass (a picturesque wilderness used for movie shoots), Blue Mesa (Colorado’s largest lake), and the historic town of Ouray (called the Swiss Alps of the Rockies).Â
Reserve your spot at this popular campground early enough to snag one of the most coveted sites — a small rig, creekside spot with plenty of shade. You and your entire family — furry family members included — will love the laid-back atmosphere and plethora of perks. Don’t forget to bring along Fido’s leash, traveling water and food bowls, and proof of their most recent vaccinations.Â
In the event of an unfortunate occurrence, you’ll be glad to know Alta Vista Animal Hospital is very close by and RV park guests receive a 10 percent discount on first-time office visits.
