Description

Stay at the edge of a breathtaking gorge at Cloudland Canyon State Park in Georgia. This scenic park has everything you need to enjoy your stay out in the wild and actually makes for an excellent place to hold weddings due to the incredible backdrop. Various creeks and waterfalls add even more beauty to the area and draw photographers from all over.

There are all different kinds of lodging options at Cloudland Canyon. Yurts and cottages are available to rent, and two of the cottages even allow dogs for a fee of $50 per dog, per visit. A whole variety of campsites are offered here, from primitive backpacking sites to full hookup RV pull-throughs. Campsites start at $8 and go up based on features and location. A ParkPass is required for every vehicle that enters the park, which costs $5. Fire rings and picnic tables are provided on each site and drinking water is accessible throughout the grounds.

You'll never have any reason to be bored at Cloudland Canyon State Park. Take your favorite four-legged hiking buddy into the wild to discover all of the incredible geological features that this area offers, and be sure to bring your camera! Depending on when you visit, you might be able to explore one of the park's caves -- but be warned, it gets muddy. Other activities on offer here are disc golf, fishing, tennis, and scheduled programs that often happen on weekends. Geocaching is a big hit here -- try your hand at sniffing out some of the caches and leave a small token of your own. You'll also find mountain biking and horseback riding trails through the park, making this region fun for almost anyone!

Let your doggo know that they're invited too, as Cloudland Canyon is dog-friendly. They do ask that you keep your woofer on-leash throughout your stay and that you clean up all bathroom breaks they may leave behind. While pooches are welcome on the hiking trails here, they are not permitted in any buildings on the premises unless posted otherwise.

Cloudland Canyon State Park is just as it sounds -- a fairytale land in nature waiting for you to find it!
