Collier-Seminole State Park is home to a beautiful campground that welcomes pups on-leash! This campground offers 105 campsites with electric and water hookups, grills, and picnic tables. About 80 of these great sites can accommodate RVs up to 50 feet in length. The daily fee for this furrific campground is $22.

While you’re at Collier-Seminole State Park, you’ll find tons of fun things to do with your dog. If you and your dog enjoy hiking, check out one of the park’s numerous waterside hiking trails. If you want to go on a short trek, hop on the 0.9-mile Royal Palm Hammock Nature Trail. This trail takes you through a unique hardwood hammock that’s filled with royal palm trees, gumbo limbo trees, and a wide variety of ferns. The trail also takes you past a wetland area that’s home to many different species of wading birds.

If you want to go on a longer trek with your dog, try the 3.5-mile Off Road Bike & Hiking Trail. This hiking and biking trail takes you along a historic railbed. As you’re walking, you might get to see some of the area’s native wildlife, including deer, gopher tortoise, herons, and black bears. Before you head out on this trail, be sure to register at Collier Seminole State Park’s ranger station.

Collier-Seminole State Park is also a water lover’s paradise. The Blackwater River runs through the park, and the campground has a boat ramp you can use if you’re bringing a boat. Many people also enjoy canoeing and kayaking on the river. If you’re an angler, you can try your lucking fishing for freshwater and saltwater fish in the river.

Collier-Seminole State Park is a pawsitively amazing park with tons of activities for campers and their furry best friends. Remember to bring doggy bags so you can clean up after your dog while you’re camping, and enjoy spending time in this fun campground!
