Description
Crook Campground is located in the Apache-Stigreaves National Forest in Arizona. It is a group campground that can host up to 110 people at one time - and 26 cars! Crook sits in a stunning Ponderosa Pine forest near Woods Canyon Lake, a popular and much-loved lake frequented by many people every year. At an elevation of 7,500-feet, the campground provides some of the most stunning views in the area and it is great for watching nature and wildlife in the nearby area.

In the grounds, you will find lakes, cliffs, rivers, forests, and so much more. You will also get to experience the desert and the cool, wet climate of the forest and mountains all in this same area. Fishing, hiking, boating, and wildlife viewing are the most popular activities in the area. Woods Canyon Lake has some of the best fishing around and Rim Lakes Vista Trail is a favorite hiking spot for campers and day visitors as well.

The actual campground features two loops that end in quiet and private cul-de-sacs. Each of the two loops can host up to 110 people, which is quite large, and they can accommodate both tent and RV camping. Group campers will also have access to a group picnic area with shelter. Drinking water, firewood, vault toilets, and a dump station are available on the grounds too. Peak season runs from May to October, meaning you will face the most crowds during this time.

Dogs are more than welcome at the campground, but they should wear their leash at all times. You should always pick up after your dog's business and discard the poop bags in a proper manner. Remember to provide fresh water for your dog and make sure they have a cool and comfortable place to sleep! Overall, Crook Campground is a great place to camp with your family and dog. Between the scenic location and outdoor activities available, you are sure to love it!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
