Description

Are you 55+, a dog lover, and looking for a Sunshine State staying spot? Then you’d be barking mad not to check out Crystal Lake Village! This pawesome community caters to more mature customers of all activity levels, whether you’re looking for a place to park your RV overnight, flying south for the winter, or looking for a longer term home. Crystal Lake has all the creature comforts a pup and their person could ask for. You’ll have access to water, electricity and sewer hookups, showers, laundry facilities, a clubhouse, and even an on-site bus service.

The location isn’t bad, either! The campground is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of urban life just outside of Wauchula, FL. Perched on the shores of the serene lake, the area is also surrounded by pleasant grassland. There’s not a lot of shade, though, so be careful when it’s hot out. Nearby medical care can provide you with peace of mind, and the park is just a short drive away from some furrific beaches. Rates start at $35 per day, with a serious discount for longer term stays. There are also park model homes for rent. Spaces fill up fast, so it’s best to book early, particularly if you’ll need to stay at one of Crystal Lake’s accessible sites.

You and your pooch are sure to find something to do during your stay! If you fancy taking a dip, you’re free to use the heated swimming pool on-site. There’s also a fitness center, and even a dance hall with regular events if you feel like tearing up a rug! If you’re looking for some tee time, the resort is close by to several golf courses. Or you could check out the horseshoe or shuffleboard facilities!

Free WiFi is available at Crystal Lake Village Campground, but there’s a three device limit per site. While furry friends are welcome at no extra charge, there are some breed restrictions in place, so it’s best to call ahead before you book if you’re concerned. There’s no dog run, and your pup will need to stay on-leash, but you’ll find some excellent state parks nearby that are ideal for walkies. Remember to bring waste bags for your best friend, and enjoy your stay!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
