Cypress Glen Campground is a pawesome forest campground with plenty of great amenities for you and your furry best friend! This campground is located in the Croom Tract of the Withlacoochee State Forest, which is an area that’s filled with scenic hiking trails and beautiful rivers, creeks, and ponds. Pups are welcome to join you in this campground on-leash, and the daily rate for this fun campground starts at $13.45.

If you and your dog love hiking together, there are a few great pet-friendly trails in and near Cypress Glen. This includes the Withlacoochee State Trail, which runs through the campground. This 46-mile trail is the longest paved rail-trail in Florida, and it goes from Citrus Springs to Trilby. The portion of the trail near Cypress Glen takes you through the Withlacoochee State Forest, and it goes along the beautiful Silver Lake.

The Croom Loop Trails are another good option for hiking with your pup. This trail system is 19 miles in total, and it features three loop trails which take you up sandhills and through a shady forest filled with hardwood trees. The trails also provide great views of the Withlacoochee River.

Cypress Glen Campground is also a good choice for campers who loving being out on the water. The campground is located on Silver Lake, which is a popular place for boating, canoeing, and kayaking. If you’re bringing a boat, the campground has a boat ramp you can use. You can also try your luck fishing at this lake.
